The laboratory dewpoint calibration service covers the range -110 °C to 20 °C dewpoint, with the range -90 °C to 20 °C traceable to the United Kingdom’s Humidity Standard, which is held at the National Physical Laboratory, Teddington, England.
Each dewpoint transmitter or portable dewpoint hygrometer is conditioned to nominally eight known humidity levels (the actual number can vary according to the instrument range). Our laboratory technicians will adjust the transmitter or hygrometer to optimise accuracy. The readings are recorded against those of the reference hygrometer on the traceable Calibration Certificate.
Our standard price includes minor repairs, electrical function tests, replacing seals, and desiccant change. If any chargeable repair work is required, we will contact you with details of any additional costs and seek your approval before proceeding. We aim to ensure your instrument is out of service for the shortest possible time. Typically, turnaround is 8 to 10 working days after receiving the instrument and official order.
The complex nature of dewpoint calibration usually makes onsite calibration for single instruments uneconomic. Please check for price and availability for sites with over ten instruments requiring calibration.
